Shah's statement came within hours after Ms Mufti said Modi is the only person who can settle Kashmir issue. Governor NN Vohra also met the prime minister and informed him about the law and order situation in the state.
Addressing a gathering after inaugurating a flyover in Gandhi Nagar, Mufti, while referring to the recent turmoil in the state, said, "Mein aaj bhi yeh kehti hoon. It was an excuse as he too actually wanted to have a solution to this issue but couldn't do it as he lacked the strength". Hailing the Indian prime minister's decision to visit Lahore on December 25, 2015, she said that it was a sign of strength not weakness.
She said the current situation in the Valley is because of the fact that the previous Government didn't carry forward the process initiated by the late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and ex-PM AB Vajpayee. "Whatever decision he takes, the country will support him", said Mehbooba, whose party is running a government in coalition with the BJP. "Our main focus is to bring peace and security to the people of the state", said Singh.
Vohra had met Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday, and apprised him of the security situation in the state. She said the city has a good treasure of forts and monuments which have the potential of attracting heritage lovers to the city and added her Government is working towards that.More news: Buhari's Health: President Cancels Meeting With Niger President Mahamadou Issoufou

"If anyone can take us out of the sticky spot, it is Prime Minister Modi". "What was the outcome of that optimism apart from BJP publicly and officially demolishing every single promise made in the alleged "Agenda of the Alliance"? He was successful to a large extent in shortest of period", Mehbooba said.
"In those three years Vajpayee Sahib ensured ceasefire on border, there were talks with deputy CM LK Advani ji, talks (with Pakistan) for opening border routes started, militancy was at its minimal in those three years and there was peace on borders". Her allies have openly humiliated her and continue to humiliate her and sadly it seems like she has become insult-proof in order to remain glued to her chair.
Mehbooba Mufti advised the concerned Departments to adopt a holistic and futuristic policy for traffic management which would accommodate the needs of coming times as well.
