Lyon in danger of UEFA ban after more crowd trouble

Lyon boss Bruno Genesio says he remains positive the French club can overturn a three-goal deficit against Ajax to reach the Europa League final.

Aulas will be disappointed to hear that Dolberg has confirmed that he plans to develop himself at his current club before considering a more away, however, with the Dane saying: "I will stay next season at Ajax". I am proud of my players, though.

Ajax went into the clash boasting a commanding 4-1 first-leg lead, but Lyon were boosted by the return of key striker Lacazette, who was forced off early on in the clash in Amsterdam. We're capable of scoring lots of goals at the Parc OL.

If Lyon have any chance of advancing it will likely be because Alexandre Lacazette has a big game. "We were so close to the final, it's hard to take", Lacazette said. That's part of life in football, though. But we'll have to keep our nerve and, importantly, stay solid defensively.

"We gave it absolutely everything tonight and we were roared on by our supporters". Everyone was great this evening.

"We have got to believe that the feat is possible, and we have to show what we are capable of". We need to be strong as a group to qualify.

Jean-Michel Aulas (Lyon president): "It's a disappointment but football is made of huge highs and lows".

However, if they draw or lose, then Ajax will become champions. We can regret the first leg but take huge pride in how we played the second. Thus, the result was a dramatic one for a Europa League semi-final, Ajax maintained the attacking flow and as their opponent's line between defense and offense was broken, the one goal they conceded was due to their own complacent attitude.

The match, will be the first at that level for Ajax Amsterdam since they lost on penalties to Juventus.
