Twitter Sufficiently Drags Trump For Commenting On Irish Reporter's Smile

President Donald Trump interrupted a diplomatic phone call with newly elected Irish Prime Minister Taoiseach Leo Varadkar to tell a reporter she had a "nice smile".

As the USA president and Irish premier discussed issues such as migration and Britain's exit from the European Union, Trump broke off to compliment RTE's Washington reporter Caitriona Perry's "nice smile". She was in the Oval Office with other journalists to document the Tuesday call.

In his conversation with Varadkar, Trump said, "We have a lot of your Irish press watching us right now", before gesturing for Irish reporter Caitriona Perry to come over to his desk.

In a video tweeted by Perry after the incident, Perry is seen laughing nervously and moving away from Trump's desk.

On Twitter, Perry described it as a "bizarre moment" but appeared to laugh at the unusual moment. "Go ahead, come here, come here", the president said pointing at Ms Perry and beckoning her forward with his finger....
