Ghost Recon: Wildlands PvP arrives autumn - Beta starting soon

The 4v4 action will be available as a free update sometime this fall.

Building upon the tactical squad-based gameplay from the main game, Wildlands' Ghost War mode will enable you to choose from a roster of varied classes, each created to fulfil a specific role upon the battlefield. Ubisoft announced today that they'll be holding an open beta test for the mode, called Ghost War, this summer. What was really missing from the game was the ability to hunt other players in a PvP mode. It's based on tactical squad play from the main game, and one team plays as Ghosts and the other plays as a squad of spec ops soldiers. "All of these elements will make team play, communication, and strategic skills more crucial than ever", Istrate said. The mode also introduces some new features, such as the ability to detect the origin of gunshots, and a suppression system where you and your teammates can limit an opposing player's vision by constantly shooting at them even though they are behind cover.

Players won't have to wait too long to get their hands on Ghost War. Ghost War is a separate mode where your squadmates will choose from a variety of classes and fight against another squad on a selection of set maps pulled from Wildlands' open world.

Ghost Recon Wildlands continues to be a huge hit for Ubisoft, and it's been Ubi's best-selling game of 2017 so far.
