Four new fighters and an original story have been confirmed for next year's Dragon Ball FighterZ by Arc System Works.
Following the trailer comes the latest issue of Weekly Jump that publication site ShonenGameZ translated, revealing Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta as playable fighters in Dragon Ball FighterZ.
The two high-powered fighters will apparently be separate characters, not in-fight transformations. Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan is quite the mouthful, so we'll just shorten it to Super Saiyan Blue like they do in Dragon Ball Super. This mode pits the revived Android 16 against most of the franchise's roster of heroes, including Piccolo, Krillin, and Trunks, among others. Android 16 is resurrected here and is far more powerful than his debut fighting Cell and the other Z Fighters, but for some reason he's only focused on exacting some payback on Goku and the rest of the crew.
Android 16 and 18 are great and it appears the story will revolve around Android 16 in some way, but I was hoping for Android 17. The magazine goes on to describe it as a "new story for Goku and friends... depicted in high-end animation".More news: Neo-Nazi website banned by Google gets Russian web domain

The Weekly Jump magazine revealed the game's story mode, and it will feature a "what if" scenario for the players to tackle.
"Dragon Ball FIghterZ" will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC in 2017.
Additionally, you'll get to play with up to six players for three-on-three matches when you're ready to start playing online and show off your skills. The closed beta runs from September 16 to 18.
