Trump Tweets About NAFTA, Border Wall, And Ally's Book As Houston Floods

Trump, a Republican, promised during his campaign to build the wall and overhaul or eliminate Nafta (the North American Free Trade Agreement), which he cast as killing jobs and exacerbating the U.S. deficit, and to adopt a more protectionist stance for trade generally.

Texas' Senior US Senator stressed the importance of the North American Free Trade Agreement or NAFTA following President Donald Trump's comments at a rally in Arizona predicting a termination of the agreement.

Trump was at Camp David, the presidential retreat in Maryland. Trump tweeted Sunday morning. "We have KKK. I got them all", he added. Dem opposed to big tax cuts.

In response, Mexico's foreign ministry issued a statement Sunday afternoon reiterating the country's position that it will not "in any way or under any circumstance" pay for Trump's signature border wall.

He later wrote, "With Mexico being one of the highest crime Nations in the world, we must have THE WALL".

In July, leaked transcripts of a January phone call showed that Trump told his Mexican counterpart, Enrique Peña Nieto, his promise that Mexico would pay was merely a political move. He said renegotiation process with Mexico and Canada are very hard and we may have to terminate the deal.
