Miley Cyrus Tears Up Explaining Why She's Giving $500K to Hurricane Victims


The singer talked about being empathetic to what the hurricane victims are going through and how they just lost everything.

The 24-year-old singer became emotional during her chat on The Ellen DeGeneres Show after the presenter praised her for donating $500,000 to hurricane relief efforts via her Happy Hippie Foundation. "It just really makes me really upset", she said, with tears in her eyes. "So I am really happy to help in any way I can".

Cyrus insisted she didn't have to think twice about using her celebrity status for good.

"Just wanted to let everyone in Texas know, we got you".

The world has been shaken by the events of Hurricane Harvey and people from all lifestyles have been doing their best to contribute to the cause.
