Digital Payment Bound To Pick Up With New Technology

Today, Google has launched their new mobile payments system in India dubbed "Tez", meaning "fast" in Hindi and Urdu.

Tez will support UPI, enabling users to link their mobile phones to their bank accounts and facilitating payments to merchants for goods purchased as well as to and from other users of the app.

The app works with all major Indian banks and a vast majority of smartphones. The app supports a range of Indian languages such as Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, and Kannada, among others.

Finally the much awaited UPI based payment and wallet application, "Tez", by Google has been launched in India on Monday. You can download the Google Tez app by heading over to Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Using NPCI's (National Payments Corporation of India) Unified Payments Interface (UPI), money transfers are simple & secure with Tez. You can also watch all your friends who are using Tez and can request and pay money. Google says every transaction is secured with UPI PIN and the app is secured with a Google PIN or one's screen lock method like a fingerprint.

Getting Tez Scratch Cards (TM) in the app makes you eligible to win up to Rs. 1000 with each eligible transaction.

Unlike Paytm, Tez doesn't require users to top up money in the app.

Google has introduced an all-new payment app named Tez in India. The software links directly to bank accounts, so there's no hassle of topping up a virtual wallet or creating a new account. Just use Tez and if you win, your rewards go straight into your bank account. "In the event that you are a Recipient, you hereby consent Google to permit the Sender to store your information including bank account number and Aadhaar number on Tez for the goal of sending you payments", adds the page. Also, Airtel Payments Bank option is present as well in the bank accounts section. With Google's multi-layered security and 24/7 protection by Tez Shield, customers can make payments and transfer amounts.

Another very interesting feature that Google has embedded into this app is "Tez Cash Mode". Google has partnered with Axis, HDFC, ICICI and SBI for backend processing. Once you have done that, you will be able to send as well as receive money from anyone using the Tez or other UPI supported apps out there. If you know the iD of a receiver you can simply input that and make the payment.
