Match abandoned in Hyderabad as India, Australia share T20 series

The third and final Twenty20 worldwide between India and Australia has been abandoned without a ball being bowled due to wet outfield.

Hello everyone and welcome to live coverage of the 3rd T20 between India and Australia. The match will begin at 7 pm IST and will be telecast on the Star Sports network. The city has been consistently receiving rains through the week, throwing normal life out of gear. According to sources, pedestal fans had been used on the eve of the match to dry the outfield.

India won the rain-hit first T20I after overcoming Australia by nine-wickets in Ranchi. Last time a match was called off in India due to wet outfield was at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata in 2015 when India where supposed to play South Africa.

The visitors had levelled the T20 series in Guwahati on Tuesday after a largely disappointing Indian tour that saw them lose the preceding one-day internationals 4-1.

The action has shifted to the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad today for the series-deciding clash.
