Warner Bros. will reportedly begin production on Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman 2 in June 2018, with the new synopsis confirming the film's 1980s setting.
Available now on digital HD and September 19 on Blu-ray and DVD, Wonder Woman stars Gal Gadot as Diana, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Robin Wright as General Antiope, Danny Huston as General Erich Ludendorff, David Thewlis as Ares, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, Elena Anaya as Doctor Poison, and Lucy Davis as Etta Candy.
It is still unclear what role the "Keeping up with Jones" actor will be playing.
Ruin centres on an ex-Nazi captain in post-Second World War Germany who seeks to rectify his past by hunting down the surviving members of his former SS Death Squad.More news: China opposes United States move to send its warship in South China Sea

The project is a first produced feature film from writing duo Matt and Ryan Firpo, with Justin Kurzel directing. Gadot will be seen next as Wonder Woman in the studio's "Justice League", which opens November 17.
Director Kurzel's previous credits include the very dark Shakespeare adaptation Macbeth and the disappointing video game film Assassin's Creed, both starring Michael Fassbender. Gadot has also agreed to star in Deeper with Bradley Cooper (written by Max Landis and directed by Kornel Mundruczo).
If Gadot does sign on for this movie, let's hope her character is front and center of the action where she belongs! Her DCEU commitments mean she is locked in to Justice League 2 and the Flash standalone Flashpoint as well as Wonder Woman 2.
