Asia Cup Hockey: India beat Pakistan 3-1 to top Pool A


October 15: The Indian men's hockey team continued their winning run at the ongoing Asia Cup 2017 as they defeated their arch rivals Pakistan 3-1 in a high-voltage Group A encounter in Dhaka on Sunday.

Ramandeep Singh (44′) and Harmanpreet Singh (45′) were on the score-sheet for India.

Pakistan entered the game after drawing their second match 2-2 with Japan while rampant Indians started the fixture after handing a 7-0 drubbing to Bangladesh. In the next minute, Harmanpreet sealed the fate of Pakistan hockey team making it 3-0 for Indians with a swinging flick. India, who started as the match favourites, lived up to the expectations and produced an impressive show of hockey.
