Justin Timberlake Maintains A Funky Groove With New Single, "Filthy"

If that was not enough of a clue, he came back today with three posts leading up to the big reveal of a new video titled, Filthy.

Timberlake has styled himself as a would-be Steve Jobs of dancing robots in the first track of his new album, "Man of the Woods".

Justin Timberlake applied a special condition on his new song "Filthy": that it be played "very loud".

Despite the change in aesthetic, elements of Timberlake's known sound remain, as "Filthy" shows.

The ironic thing about it is that in attempting to sound futuristic in 2018, "Filthy" sounds dated, clunky and out of touch, and it's not even close to as fresh as his FutureSex/LoveSounds album that came out nearly 12 years ago.

The new song-co-written by Timberlake, Timbaland and Danja-arrived late Thursday night with an accompanying video, directed by the singer's past collaborator Mark Romanek.

As we previously mentioned, the upcoming record will also feature collaborations with the likes of the Neptunes, Chris Stapleton and Alicia Keys.

Timberlake's highly-anticipated Woods will arrive almost five years since his last album, The 20/20 Experience.
