Home and Away actress Jessica Falkholt has her life support


Yesterday, hundreds of mourners are said to have gathered at St Mary's Church to pay their respects to Jessica's family, 69-year-old Lars, 60-year-old Vivian, and 21-year-old Annabelle, with relative Paul Ponticello pointing out the injustice of the tragedy as Lars was such a "careful" driver.

Lars and Vivian Falkholt died at the scene of the Boxing Day crash.

She remains in a critical condition, a spokeswoman for St George Hospital told AAP on Friday.

Home and Away star Jessica Falkholt and her family were involved in a bad vehicle accident on December 26.

Home and Away, on which she had her break-out role, tweeted: "Rest in peace, handsome Jessica Falkholt", with a link to a news story about her life support being turned off. Annabelle, 21, died three days later in the hospital.

Doctors have performed multiple surgeries on the 29-year-old Falkholt - including reportedly removing a portion of her skull and one of her kidneys - in an effort to save her life.

It emerged that her young sister Raffy - actually her cousin - was a sibling of the Morgan brothers in the soap, so Raffy stayed in the Bay with them when Hope was jailed for her crimes.

It has been revealed that the killer driver Craig Whitall had been declared an habitual traffic offender by the courts with more than 60 convictions to his name.

The remains of those killed in the crash were so badly burned, they had to be identified by their dental records, SBS reported. It's believed he was driving home from the methadone clinic with an investigation taking place on whether he was under the influence of drugs at the time of the crash.
