The Seahawks and Oakland Raiders will kick off the festivities on October 14 at the new Tottenham Hotspur stadium.

The dates of those games will be confirmed at a later date, as will kick-off times and ticket details.

The NFL's International Series consists of games played both in London and Mexico City.

The Wembley matches will see Philadelphia Eagles face Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans take on Los Angeles Chargers, with one of the matches played on October 21 and the other on October 28.

The final date has yet to be determined, but the game will take place either Week 7 or 8 on October 21 or October 28.

"We are excited as a franchise to be playing in London as part of the NFL's International Series", said Titans Controlling Owner Amy Adams Strunk.

The Jaguars' footprint in London continues to grow, as the team has registered over 75,000 fans in the United Kingdom and rank eighth among NFL teams in European NFL merchandise sales.

Premier League side Spurs are due in their new home for the 2018-19 season. "We still have another six or seven months of really hard work of construction". With Spurs having engineered their ground to specifically cater for National Football League games, they would be clear favourites to host the franchise.

Is a London franchise any closer? "It's very much our desire".

It will be played on the stadium's artificial surface, which sits beneath the retractable grass pitch. We have to believe this will be a night game in Tottenham to set that new stadium off right, as well as give Raider Nation and the 12th Man a chance to watch the game not well before 12:00 p.m. PT. "I'm excited for the opportunity to once again play at a historic stadium like Wembley, and hopefully this trip will include the Chargers heading home with the win". "It also puts an onus on us to ensure we are thoughtful about how we manage all our relationships". But they play the Chargers in their temporary, 27,000-seat StubHub Center digs in 2019, making London a likely landing spot for that game with the team announcing Thursday that it will host one worldwide game in 2018 and '19.

"When we played the first game here we had no idea if we were ever coming back", Waller said.
