As President Muhammadu Buhari prepares to make a presentation on corruption in Africa, report says the continent loses $148 billion a year to the scourge. If there is a topic that is being discussed a lot in Angola is the fight against corruption.
"We will be side by side with the African Union in respecting African leadership in solving African problems to help in this [regard]", said the Secretary-General, adding that Africa has also made admirable strides in human rights.

The heads of states will also attend a closed session to address the main issues on the summit's agenda, including institutional reforms of the 55-nation bloc, as well as efforts to establish an African free trade zone.

Until Thursday evening, Morocco was the only candidate for North Africa, after the withdrawal of Algeria.
