NBA Trade Grades: Bulls sending Jameer Nelson to Pistons

With just hours now to go until we reach the 2018 National Basketball Association trade deadline, the Detroit Pistons have reportedly agreed to a second deal of the day.

The Bulls acquired the 35-year-old Nelson in the trade of Nikola Mirotic to the Pelicans last week.

At the very least right now the Pistons alleviate some of the stress of being without Jackson by adding Nelson who is averaging 5.1 points and 3.6 assists per game this year. After the Blake Griffin trade thinned out the Pistons' wing rotation, Galloway is more important there, so there was some need for a steadier hand at the point. As part of this deal, Detroit gives Chicago the right to swap their 2022 second-round picks.

Willie Reed is 27 years old and has been in the National Basketball Association for three seasons.

Reed, acquired last week from the Los Angeles Clippers in the Blake Griffin trade, on Wednesday began serving a six-game National Basketball Association suspension for a domestic violence incident in August. In 871 career games, he's averaging 11.4 points per game and 5.1 assists per game.

Make no mistake, the Pistons are going for it.

24, 2018 with New Orleans. The six-foot-11, 279-pound Drummond Is averaging 15.1 points per game this season and leads the National Basketball Association with an average of 15.6 rebounds per game. The 6'7 27-year-old will likely back up Stanley Johnson at the three and provide some positional versatility along with Johnson, Reggie Bullock and Luke Kennard.

In giving up Tobias Harris, Avery Bradley and Boban Marjanovic, along with two draft picks, the Pistons also gave up much of their depth.

Minutes later, the Pistons added small forward James Ennis from the Memphis Grizzlies for Johnson, the same person told the Free Press. He has appeared in nine games this season.
