Pogba, 25, has only started only four of United's last 10 games and was dropped for both legs of their last-16 tie against Sevilla in the Champions League, the tie that saw them knocked out.

The Manchester United midfielder was an influential figure throughout the game, setting up Mbappe for the opener on 40 minutes with a fine through ball.

With the likes of Olivier GIroud and Thomas Lemar also emerging from the bench, it hammers home once again the strength in depth available to manager Didier Deschamps ahead of this summer's World Cup.

Mourinho is concerned that Pogba is not focused on football and needs to concentrate more, a worry that Deschamps is sympathetic to.

France has remaining friendlies against the Republic of Ireland, Italy and the United States before opening World Cup play against Australia on June 16.
