With no Round 1 picks, Chiefs poised for crucial Day 2

While the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft might not have been as exciting for Kansas City Chiefs fans, they still got to watch what other teams spent their pick on.

The Chiefs have the 24th pick in the round, along with a sixth-round pick and two choices in the seventh round.

MS defensive lineman Breeland Speaks celebrates a play against Arkansas at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Miss. on October 28, 2017.

Kansas City could still use help at cornerback, so general manager Brett Veach may not be done with that side of the ball.

Nnadi was selected in the third round by Kansas City with the 75th overall pick. The Jackson, Mississippi native recorded nine sacks and 15 tackles for loss in three years at Ole Miss.

The trade gives the Chiefs the 46th pick and the 100th pick, and in exchange, the Bengals get the 54th pick and the 78th pick.

Speaks is a versatile defensive end prospect who moved around and played all over, but he may be best suited to play out on the EDGE.
