‘No one wanted this’: Viewers slam Colton Underwood as the next ‘Bachelor’

While ABC has not set an official release date for season 23 of "The Bachelor", fans should expect the show to return in early 2019.

Another called Colton "an opportunist" and many more said they would not be tuning into the new season in January. If he's willing to put that on display as the Bachelor, I would find that fascinating in this day and age ...

The Indiana native made it all the way to hometown dates, with Becca seemingly excited about where their relationship could go.

Underwood first joined the dating show in The Bachelorette season that had him vying for the affections of Becca Kufrin. He previously appeared on "The Bachelorette" and "Bachelor In Paradise".

The 26-year-old was then eliminated from the show, clearly heartbroken by not being able to continue things with Becca. Underwood added that he couldn't wait to see what the future holds for her and he joked about catching up again at some point over a hot dog dinner.

The entire timeline of the relationship is still a bit murky, but by the time of their breakup on episode 8, Tia revealed that she had known Colton for six months.

When he came clean to Tia about his feelings, they had a very emotional break up, with both deciding to leave Paradise in the aftermath. 'He played professionally for three teams before an injury forced him to retire.
