Texas sneaks into top 15 in latest College Football Playoff rankings

Alabama is No. 1 for the 15th time in 28 rankings.

No. 4 MI and No. 10 Ohio State are the only Big Ten teams ranked ahead of Penn State and the only Nittany Lion opponents this season to appear in the poll.

UCF's No. 11 ranking is the highest for a Group of Five team in the CFP's history.

There are still an unprecedented four undefeated Power 5 teams, the most at this point of the season in the College Football Playoff era. Last year, Alabama seemed like a default pick at 11-1 over Ohio State and USC.

Four ESPN reporters have made a decision to pick No. 12 Syracuse to upset No. 3 Notre Dame in NY, as the game is being played at Yankee Stadium. Herbstreit said Michigan's playoff chances will all come down to the Ohio State game.
