The third season of Stranger Things will premiere on Netflix on July 4, because what better way is there to celebrate America's independence than with Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) using her mental powers to throw cars around and fight demodogs?

The odd video announcement features a New Year's Eve countdown video from 1985, complete with VHS tape tracking lines, warped audio and what sounds like Mike yelling Eleven's name at one point.

Are you hyped for more Stranger Things? Netflix delivered a gift to USA viewers at the stroke of midnight, East Coast time, just as 2018 slipped into 2019, revealing the season-three premiere date for the hit streaming show.

The tweet includes an illustrated teaser that reads, "One summer can change everything". They want to deliver something bigger and better than what they did past year.

Meanwhile, Mike (Finn Wolfhard) is looking over at Eleven, the girl he finally smooched at the prom at the end of Season 2. Also joining the cast this season are Cary Elwes and Jake Busey, who are sure to add some flavor to the proceedings.

By watching the aforementioned code, one can make out the following enigmatic message at the 14-second mark: "When blue and yellow meet in the west".

Netflix got 2019 started with a bang as it announced the return date for its smash series "Stranger Things".

And a trailer accompanied the new animated poster taking us right back to New Year's Eve 1985 in Times Square.
