Kevin Hart emphatically says he won't host the Oscars

"As it stands, no new offers are out, nor are any expected to be made to a single potential host to fill the void left by Kevin Hart", reports Variety. With that in mind, Hart was recently asked the question by Good Morning America's Michael Strahan, to which the comedian responded with a resounding no.

No. I'm not hosting the Oscars this year. "I understand you", he continued, adding that he hopes the LGBTQ community can forgive him and accept he's a different person from the one who sent those tweets nearly a decade ago. "It's hard to predict what can happen, and I don't want people to think there's a thing between me and the Academy, because there isn't".

In the apology, he promised that he was "going to make sure that I don't do anything else offensive [in comedy]", and explained that "in the times that we're living in, we have to be understanding and accepting of people and change".

Sounding somewhat sarcastic, the comedian said: "Once again, Kevin Hart apologizes for his remarks that hurt members of the LGBTQ community".

Kevin added the landscape of the world has changed now, particularly with the prevalence of social media, and he regrets the way he spoke on his Twitter page.

DeGeneres implied that the Academy wanted Hart back at all costs, to the point of quoting someone in the ranks admitting the organization may have "said the wrong thing" in discussing Hart's exit. It's a choice that I personally made to say, 'I'm not addressing it anymore.' That's not from an angry place. I've done it. I've done it several times ... There is no more conversation about it. "The moment came and it was a blessing and I was excited at the opportunity and I still am".

"If it's accepted, great", he continued. If it's not, it's nothing I can control. "So I'm done with it".

I don't know why Nicki Minaj is still running her mouth about Meek Mill, as it has been literally two years since they broke up and she's clearly moved on with Kenneth Petty, but you know what, she's not listening to me, so! You can see that embarrassment on the faces of almost every celebrity who appears in the crowd in that video.

"You're not getting no more of my energy from it", he added. There was a possibility of Hart coming back if the Academy felt his appearance on Ellen DeGeneres' show revealed true remorse, but Hart once again played the victim card as opposed to offering any kind of a genuine apology.
