Game of Thrones first teaser released | Jon Snow, Arya, Sansa appear together

Perhaps Harington's face was just hard to accurately chisel, but could this alternatively symbolize the fact that Arya and Sansa will perish in Season 8, whereas Jon will live much longer?

But this teaser is about more than just the battle to come; it's about the Stark family legacy. And in the same teaser, we see Jon Snow (and Arya and Sansa) as statues beneath the crypt, indicating that they have died too. The implication is all three may be facing their doom. The three reach at the end of the hallway, where they see their own statues and frost approaches them.

Given the fact that we're firmly down the Game of Thrones rabbit hole, the schedule also offers an intriguing possibility regarding the fate of Queen Cersei.

This eighth season is only six episodes long, which means the finale should be on May 19 if HBO doesn't skip any Sundays. Though Jon does not yet know it, the audience is well aware of his true parentage: Lyanna was Jon's mother and his father was Rhaegar Targaryen.

Season 8 premiers on April 14th on HBO.

After months and months of waiting, HBO has finally thrown us a bone and told us when we can expect the new and final Game of Thrones season. "The reaction I had while watching them was, 'I'm watching a movie'". Some fans believe that Bran constantly jumping from the past to the present in efforts to prevent the White Walker invasion and the gruesome end of the Great War ultimately trapped him inside the Night King. The Night King has arrived, and the fight is on. "It's an incredibly emotional haunting bittersweet final season and I think it honours very much what (author George RR Martin) set out to do - which is flipping this kind of story on its head". I wouldn't do it for any other show, don't get me wrong, but it's Thrones, so in order to avoid spoilers I want to see it at the same time it hits the US East Coast. April 14 is so soon... and also so far away.
