Roger Stone Defends Himself While Facing Boos, 'Lock Him Up' Chants

As IJR previously noted, Stone's attorney similarly released a statement claiming that his client didn't lie but honestly forgot about relevant details.

On "America's Newsroom" Friday, Dershowitz, a Harvard Law professor emeritus, said the indictment is full of "stories" of Russian collusion, but all the actual charges are a result of the investigation.

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders told CNN's John Berman on "New Day" Friday, "This has nothing to do with the President and certainly nothing to do with the White house".

Hunter Pollack, brother of Stoneman Douglas High School mass shooting victim Meadow Pollack, lights a menorah during a Hanukkah reception in the East Room of the White House December 6, 2018 in Washington, DC.

Stone will make an appearance later Friday at the federal courthouse in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, according to Peter Carr, a spokesman for the special counsel's office. He's the sixth Trump associate charged in special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into the Trump campaign and possible coordination with Russian efforts to sway the 2016 election.

Taken on their own, Stone's false statements to Congress-as well as his ham-handed attempts to prevent Credico from contradicting him in his own testimony-wouldn't necessarily present a problem for Donald Trump.

Over the years, Stone served as a northeast regional political director for Ronald Reagan's 1980 presidential campaign, and also a political consultant or campaign manager to other Republicans, including Bob Dole, George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush, Jack Kemp, Prescott Bush, and the former New Jersey Governor Thomas Kean. An associate of that official texted Stone after the release to say, "Well done". By in or around mid-August 2016, Organization 1 made a public statement denying direct communication with STONE.

In related news, many photos of Stone's Nixon back tattoo emerged Friday on Twitter. "He forgot to tell something to Congress and what it was was immaterial". Further, he is also being charged with lying to the Special Counsel about "his communications with the Trump Campaign" about Wikileaks.

"STONE also continued to communicate with members of the Trump Campaign about Organization 1 and its intended future releases".

Stone appeared at court in shackles later in the morning and was released on a $250,000 bond. Not only did Stone communicate with Credico nearly constantly by both text and email, they actually exchanged more than 30 text messages on the very day that Stone testified they had never communicated by text.

The men passed on much of the information after WikiLeaks began speaking publicly about stolen documents it had but before all had been released. The friend appears to be Randy Credico, a comedian and radio host.

While facing loud boos from people nearby, Stone smiled and thanked the crowd.

Stone urged Credico to "Stonewall it". Plead the fifth. Anything to save the plan'.

"You should be honest w Federal Bureau of Investigation. there was no back honest, " Credico wrote. Representatives for the heads of the two congressional committees that interviewed Stone could not be immediately reached.

Stone allegedly called the associate "a rat", threatened his dog and invoked The Godfather Mafia movies in a bid to stop him from testifying. You're saying Roger Stone lied?
