As Regina King won the first award of the night for Best Supporting Actress, Evans sprung into action when he noticed that she had almost tripped over her dress, and quickly offered his arm to escort her up to the stage to accept her award.

Regina King thanked her mother in an emotional and heartfelt speech during the 91st Academy Awards. But when King stood up to take the stage, there appears to have been a near-wardrobe malfunction: Her dress seems to have gotten caught on something. The Avengers: Infinity War star immediately saw a friend in need and helped her up the steps.

While he may not have been nominated for any awards at the Oscars Sunday night, Chris Evans had no problem becoming a trending topic on social media.

And Chris, 37, couldn't jump to Regina's aid soon enough.

Mahershala Ali, an African American actor who converted to Islam, had won hearts in 2017 - for his role as "Chiron" in Barry Jenkin's Moonlight, for which he won the Award for Best Supporting Actor - becoming the first Muslim actor ever to win an Academy Award.

The 2019 Oscars are doing their damndest to keep things short this year, so it's appropriate that one of the lovelier moments of the ceremony was blink-and-you'll-miss-it.

But one family member in Cincinnati is certain about who will win "Best Supporting Actress". In her acceptance speech at the Golden Globes, she pledged that women would make up half of the staff on all of her projects in the next two years, saying "it's going to be tough".
