The Voice's Janice Freeman Dead at 33

Janice Freeman -who was a favourite contestant on 2017's The Voice in the USA - died suddenly on Saturday (Sunday AEDT).

The singer was at home with her husband Dion in Pasadena, Calif., when she reportedly todl him she had trouble breathing. "He called 911, continuing to do CPR until paramedics arrived".

"We are heartbroken to report that Janice Freeman passed away on March 2, 2019 from an extreme case of pneumonia and a blood clot that traveled to her heart", the statement reads.

Freeman was on Miley Cyrus' The Voice team in 2017, and had two judges turn around - Miley Cyrus and Jennifer Hudson - during her blind audition. Janice finished in 11th place on the show, and Miley was devastated when Janice was eliminated from the competition, posting pictures and captions dedicated to the singer.

'Miley, you are my dawg, like, my best friend, and I will defend you to the bitter end, ' Freeman said on her Instagram story in January 2018.

Janice Freeman has sadly died at the age of 33. She was pronounced dead at the hospital at 5:30pm. She also beat cervical cancer and survived kidney failure as a child. "You got somebody that got your back". Janice Freeman, one of the show's more talented competitors and a crowd favorite in Season 13, has passed away.

Freeman maintained a relationship with Cyrus even after she was no longer on the show, and posted a very emotional thank you to Cyrus in 2018 after the star helped her and her family financially. "This represents you perfectly". "@MileyCyrus you are one of my closest friends and what you did for me and my family Im praying GOD gives you the desire of your heart!"
