Kevin Durant is perhaps the biggest free-agent target in 2019.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Durant is prepared to make the announcement as soon as free agency starts via The Boardroom Instagram page.

According to the report, the discussions will be a combination of face-to-face talks and other means of communications, and talks will include both Durant and his agent, Rich Kleiman.

Durant, 30, has been long rumored to potentially sign with the Knickerbockers this summer. The report also stated that Durant's decision-making process could last "well into next week".

The Golden State Warriors can offer him the most money and, after suffering an Achilles injury in the NBA Finals which will keep him out for the entirety of next year, some have suggested he return to the Warriors while he recuperates from injury. The Warriors are planning to offer him a five-year, $221 million max contract; the Clippers, Knicks and Nets can offer him a four-year, $164 million deal.

Real connections more than fancy presentation were what Durant wanted and apparently he was sold on the team's sincerity.

ESPN and The Athletic websites each cited unnamed sources in reporting Durant and Leonard have discussed the possibility of each signing with the New York Knicks or Los Angeles Clippers. In the playoffs, he averaged 32.3 ppg, 7.7 rpg, 4.5 apg and 1 bpg. He missed two first-round playoff games in 2017 as well because of a strained left calf muscle, but was healthy the rest of the way en route to his first Finals MVP honors and first National Basketball Association championship.
